Our story begins since 1950s, with a humble yet impactful foundation in the shellac industry as “Jagdamba Lakh Udyog”, where we first established our reputation as a key player in the manufacturing and supply of shellac—a natural resin used in coatings, cosmetics, and various other industries.

Building on decades of industry experience, we transitioned to the cutting-edge development of our Ambrettolide plant, where we apply advanced technologies to produce this high-demand fragrance ingredient at scale. Our state-of-the-art facility reflects our commitment to sustainability, quality, and innovation, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of the fragrance industry for years to come.

At H L Aromatics, we follow a meticulous in-house production process that starts with the following:

Collection of sticklac, a natural resin secreted by the lac insect. This raw material is then refined to produce seedlac, which is achieved through a cleaning and heat-treatment process that removes impurities, resulting in small, uniform crystals.
⁠From seedlac, we extract aleuritic acid, a crucial compound used in ambrettolide production, by dissolving the seedlac in a solvent and subjecting it to hydrolysis or heating, followed by purification through crystallization.
⁠Finally, we synthesize ambrettolide, a high-value fragrance ingredient, from aleuritic acid through a series of organic synthesis processes. After purification, the ambrettolide is carefully formulated to meet the quality standards required for use in premium perfumes.

This fully controlled in-house production ensures the highest quality and consistency, enabling H L Aromatics to provide superior products to our customers.
